Shorts.

So my whole life I've been without much to say in large groups. Why? One of life's greatest mysteries. Is it a general understanding among us that people who don't speak up in a crowd have nothing to say? Do I believe I have nothing to say? Do I ever have anything to share?

Well this certainly isn't a large group.

What do I have to say now?

All I can talk about is my husband, my dog, my job, this mystical peace corps thing and I don't even mention school. What other things do I think about?

I want a life...I used to have one...where did it go?

Jim called today, he and Matt hiked an extra 10 miles yesterday in hammering rain so they could make it to a resort to spend the night. They've hiked over 100 miles in the last 5 days. It sounds like he's starting to have a really great time, making new friends. He has a new trail name... dirt magnet. Sounds about right. After talking awhile he decided I was too stressed out, and that it didn't make sense for us to move to the other side of the house anymore. He's right. It doesn't make sense. So I'll get the other side ready to rent, and maybe Hans and Sarah will want to move in. That would be fun. Until then, there are a few other things to worry about, like getting the synthesis of my capstone finished, starting my ESOL unit, paying the bills, taking care of Christine, Christiana, and Joann's house, how to keep Mike from digging up my flower beds, and making my house liveable again.

Life must go on without Jim. He's gone for another month. He's having a great time without me. I can have a good time too...without gorging myself on m&ms and pepsi...

That's him...always kinda squinty eyed at me. Now he's hiking the Pacific Crest Trail with Matt Bradley. 5 weeks. 5 freakin' weeks.

Day two.

Jim left yesterday, and today felt pretty normal. I think tax season prepared me for this. Although I woke up in the middle of the night because I thought someone yelled loudly in my ear. Disturbing...

So many days

The weather is so beautiful. Must walk everywhere! I can't believe how gorgeous Spring is in the Valley. I hope it's gorgeous sometime wherever we end up going for the Peace Corps. Speaking of Peace Corps, apparently I need two fillings. And my dentist's assistant is having a meeting with me at 2pm on Friday to discuss what needs to happen. Is it me, or is it weird that she called and set up a meeting on Monday for Friday? I know they can't do dental work that requires anesthesia at the dental clinic. What does it all mean?

On a more exciting note. It is very possible that soon, very soon, I will be moving to the BIG SIDE OF THE HOUSE!!!! My life long dream will be fulfilled for almost 4 months. Go figure. But it means I need to rent the small side of the house. Who wouldn't want to live in a beautiful newly remodeled kitchen?

And yesterday I started a diet.

Death and Dying

So, today I had to ask myself, what responsability do I have as a person...as a neighbor, as a landlord, as an adult...to be a friendly person.

If my neighbor is so lonely that she tries to kill herself and her dog, I must be doing something wrong?

Ok... so if I were to go to go back to school sometime in the future to get like a doctorate... where would i want to go? what would i need to do to get in?
